Project Specification

As a team, a PP175 Vertical Displacement Pump will be designed and manufactured according to the specifications outlined in the requirements document (which needs to be linked here). The pump will consist of 5 major componenents:

• Base: For interfacing between the pump and testing jig
• Piston housing: A cylinder that contains the piston and allows compression of the working fluid, in this case air
• Piston head and rod: The piston head and rod are to be made from one part
• Input and output valves: To control in the input and output of fluid in the piston
• Cover: To seal the piston housing
